[Dynamic Strength] A based strength with adequate mobility and range of motion when performing a movement using body-weight or loaded. This is a prerequisite before moving into higher strength hierarchy.

MOVEMENT: Push, Pull, Hinge, Rotate, ------------------------------------------------ [Explosive Strength/Speed Strength] The body's ability to produce maximum amount of force as quickly as possible. It is usually required to accelerate from sprinting or running and re-accelerate after a braking phase or when initiating a change of direction. Success of an athlete is determine how fast and quickly can he/she move from point A to B.

MOVEMENT: Sprint From Start, Throwing ------------------------------------------------ [Eccentric Strength/Force Absorption] The body's ability to absorb force and load from elastic energy produce during a braking phase. This usually required in most sports during the change of direction. Success of an athlete is also determine on how effectively can he/she absorb force produced from Point A to B or decelerate when moving towards point B without getting injured.

MOVEMENT: Decelerate/Braking, Change of Direction ------------------------------------------------ [Multi-direction Strength] The body's ability to handle and hold forces from different direction without compromising body's position and integrity.

MOVEMENT: Multi Directional Lunges, Sharp Angle Cutting Drills, Maneuverability ------------------------------------------------ [Reactive Strength] The body's ability to transfer high amount of eccentric forces into concentric explosive strength. This is also known as producing force as fast as possible in the shortest amount of time. Success of an athlete is also determine how fast and quick can he/she come out from a change of direction. Imagine a spring like effect.

MOVEMENT: Bounding, Continuous hops ------------------------------------------------ [Cognitive Abilities] The body's ability to anticipate, react, focus and make decision quickly. Success of an athlete is also determine from how quickly can he/she make decision or anticipate the next move of their opponent. Success of an athlete is also determine how fast and quick can he/she respond to their opponents move.

MOVEMENT: Catching, Reaction drills ------------------------------------------------ Understanding the different components of strength allow athletes to train according to their sports requirement. It can save you time from unrelated training program. If you are unsure about your sports movement, it is advisable to have certified sports/strength coach to analyse your sports movement to meet the actual demand of your sports.
